USF Sarasota-Manatee holds Open House at professional development school
Photo Caption: Caption: Over 100 student interns, potential USF Sarasota-Manatee students, and community leaders attended an Open House in the “USF Bulls Room” at G.D. Rogers Garden elementary school in October. A general overview and tours were given of the school, which opened this Fall. G.D. Rogers Garden Elementary is a professional development magnet school in Bradenton staffed by regular school district faculty plus USF Sarasota-Manatee education students performing internships. The elementary school is a “green school” and features the Junior Master Gardeners program, sponsored by USF Sarasota-Manatee, W.G. Mills and Turner Tree and Landscape. The school’s colors are green and gold, the same as USF.
