SARASOTA, FL (October 21, 2009) – Amid green and gold festivity and fanfare, the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee will charge to the kickoff of the USF: Unstoppable Campaign, showcasing its growth in academic achievement, research initiatives, health sciences and athletics at a huge pep-rally event Friday, Oct. 23 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. located on its main campus on the Manatee/Sarasota County line.

This grand event will be an opportunity for the community to learn about the programs offered, the research that is being done by our exemplary faculty members, and to celebrate the success of this area’s comprehensive public university USF Sarasota-Manatee. Faculty and students will showcase academic programs and USF Sun Dolls cheerleaders, the Herd of Thunder Marching Show Band, College of the Arts Student Performers and Rocky D. Bull will entertain. USF President Dr. Judy Genshaft, Regional Chancellor Dr. Arthur Guilford, Student Valerie Connors, USF Foundation Chair Les Muma, and Vice President for Advancement Joel Momberg will speak during the program.

USF Sarasota-Manatee’s community of alumni, donors, students, faculty, staff, and partners will attend the event, which is expected to draw a crowd of hundreds.
